Remington 03A3 30-06cal Rifle
Excellent condition rifle that is at least all original US Military and possibly as issued. When the rifle was brought in it was still in its 1950's NRA rifle shipping box with both the rifle and bolt both packed separately in original grease wrap. The owner stated that has father had purchased it in the late 1950's but never un packaged it. The box is in poor condition but is serial numbed to the rifle. The labels show it was packed for NRA sale 12/57 and Shipped 16 Jan 1958. It has been cleaned for the sale. The entire rifle had a thin coat of grease, while the bore was packed solid with it. Among the pictures are a few with the bolt and floor plate still with a grease film. The rifle is in excellent condition for appearance and like new for bore condition and mechanical function. It has serial number 3731866 which matches correctly to the RA barrel date of 4-43. The four groove rifled bore is perfect. No, marks, no pitting. Sharp clean rifling that looks like new. It also gauges in the new barrel range. Throat Erosion 1 and muzzle erosion 0. The metal condition is excellent without rust or pitting and has about 98 % correct original parkerized finish. Additionally the rifle finish is characteristic of a rifle that has not been arsenal refinished. When examined you will see a slight variation in the color between the rifle receiver, barrel and some of the small parts. Rifles reparked, the barrel and action were done as a single unit giving a more uniform color to the finished product. Original rifle finish generally shows variation barrels and receivers being done separately. Additionally some small parts like the rear sight on this rifle are more likely to have hot blue or blue blue black park finish rather than the more blue green of the receiver. Parts of the rifle identified to be original Remington parts by R mark. Barrel, bolt body, safety, bolt shield, firing pin rod, front sight housing or band, bayonet lug, mid swivel, stock, rear swivel mount. The butt plate and trigger guard are identified as Remington products by shape of checkering and appearance of the front of the trigger guard rather than by R mark. There may be other R marked parts, the rifle was not disassembled for this sale. The stock on the rifle is in excellent condition. No cracks or large marks or unsightly marks. It has original color and correct old military oil finish. Left side cartouches are a very faint trace of the original production cartouche. Faint but stronger RIA cartouche. This was likely the re inspection post WW2 carouche. Finally a strong as new OG cartouche on the butt. This one is likely from the rifle being inspected before transfer to the NRA for sale. Reasonable for a rifle that hasn't been out of the box since 1958. On the underside of the stock there is the original P enclosed in a circle (firing proof) that would be original to the production of the rifle. Additionally in front of the trigger guard are some faint sub assembly proofs. Again those would be original to the production of the rifle. - C&R

All firearms that do not have an "A" or "B" suffix on the lot number, i.e. 101A, will need to be shipped to an FFL dealer in the buyers state or picked up at our location. We will ship to C&R FFL holders. All handguns (pistols and revolvers) and receivers, purchased by out of state buyers must be sent to an FFL dealer in the buyers state.
The shipping will not begin until the Monday following the auction. After the auction all buyers will receive an email via Shipping Saint to choose either pick up or shipping. After your package is ready to be sent you will receive another email to confirm your address and pay for the shippping. After you pay we will get it out within the next 24 - 48 hours. The cost for shipping is the actual cost of shipping and insurance plus a handling fee of $3 - $10 + time. If you buy a lot of items or items that are time consuming to pack your handling fee may exceed $10 but most packages it will not. The handling is figured on the entire invoice not per lot. Buyers are responsible for knowing the rules and regulations of the state in which they live pertaining to the ownership of firearms. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!! If a firearm is purchased and cannot be shipped to the buyer's state the buyer is still responsible for payment of said firearm and the firearm will be sold at our next scheduled firearms auction.

According to Ohio state law there are no tie bids and all tie bids will be awarded to the bidder in attendance. All purchasers of firearms must present valid government issued photo identification; the government allows no exceptions. Photo ID must have physical street address; P.O. boxes are not an acceptable form of identification. Purchasers must be at least 18 years old to purchase long guns and long gun ammunition, and 21 years old to purchase hand guns and hand gun ammunition.

Anything that is considered a firearm or related to a firearm will need imported please contact the auction company to see if the item(s) you would like to purchase will need exported before bidding.
